I had plantar fasciitis in my left heel after an hiking over 300 miles in Spain. The pain was significant. During my first visit at Boone Podiatry, Dr Zimmerman took x-rays to help clarify the situation and provided exercises and a device to wear at night. This helped but I wanted more and faster relief. I then had cold laser treatments that enhanced the healing process. My foot is now much better.

I recommend Dr. Zimmerman and Boone Podiatry as an excellent treatment facility for foot problems.

I MUST ADMIT I WAS PROBABLY DR ZIMMERMAN'S MOST DIFFICULT PATIENT BECAUSE I WAS ADAMANT ABOUT NOT WEARING ORTHOTICS. I DID NOT UNDERSTAND THAT ORTHOTICS ARE A SIMPLE "INSERT" YOU SLIP INSIDE YOUR SHOES.

IN 2000, I HAD 4 STROKES. THEN IN 2003 I CRUSHED MY HIP AND RECEIVED A METAL HIP. FOR 10 YEARS I LIVED IN PAIN EACH AND EVERY DAY.....................THE KNEE, THE HIP AND THE LOWER BACK. I SIMPLY THOUGHT IT WAS ARTHRITIS, AND THERE WAS NO CURE. THIS SUMMER MY FEET STARTED HURTING A LOT. DR ZIMMERMAN TOOK ONE LOOK AND KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED. ORTHOTICS.

I'VE BEEN WEARING THEM FOR A LITTLE OVER A MONTH NOW. ONE DAY I RECOGNIZED THAT I AM NOW COMPLETELY PAIN-FREE! I FEEL LIKE A NEW PERSON. I'VE ALSO DISCOVERED THAT MANY PEOPLE WEAR ORTHOTICS - EVEN MY GROWN SON.

Laser Treatments

Back in early June 2013, I was experiencing some severe heel pain in my left foot. I was at the point to where putting my heel to the ground/floor was almost unbearable. With my job, I work 12hr nights and am on my feet about 10hrs per night. Keep in mind that I have flat feet with little to no arch which doesn’t help matters any. This was an issue because it was interfering with my work. In early July 2013, I had to make a visit to Urgent Care because the pain was not going away. I was told it was Plantar Fasciitis. They also wanted me to follow up with my regular podiatrist as soon as possible.

In mid to late July 2013, I made a visit to Dr. Zimmerman’s office. He did x-rays that showed signs of Plantar Fasciitis and a heel spur. He offered several options of treatment and I chose to try the Laser Treatment first. In early August 2013, we began our laser treatments twice a week for three weeks. After just the 2ndtreatment I could feel and see improvements and I was not having the major pain that I was experiencing just a month ago. In late August 2013, we finished up with the recommended laser treatments. I have had nothing but great results since.

Along with the normal stretching, continuing to use a frozen water bottle to roll my heel on daily, and wearing the proper shoes, let me say that I am a firm believer of the laser treatments. I have had nothing but great results and the relief of pain since having the treatments. If needed in the future, I will return for more treatments. I would recommend anyone with Plantar Fasciitis or a heel spur to try this first because it’s ‘knife’ free. I know everyone is different and it may not be the best treatment for everyone, but for me it has been the best thing since cotton candy. Laser Treatments is the way to go, in my opinion. I have now invested in a pair of orthotics and am looking forward to a continued relationship with Boone Podiatry.
