Clinic Manager

Stephanie has been a valued member of the Boone Podiatry team since 2019. With a primary focus on providing quality patient care, she adeptly manages front- and back-office tasks to ensure the office runs smoothly and professionally. She is a loving mother with a positive and engaging personality that endears her to her colleagues and patients alike. Stephanie is an avid consumer of all kinds of fiction, including books, movies, and video games. Her passion for the creative arts extends to crafts and other creative endeavors, which she enjoys pursuing in her free time.

Christy Foy

Assistant Clinic Manager

Christy possesses over 14 years of professional experience in patient services, diverse insurance coverages, and administration duties in the field of podiatry. Outside of her professional life, she cherishes spending quality time with her family, engaging in outdoor activities such as walking, and traveling to coastal destinations.

Medical Assistant

Stephanie is an experienced healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience in the medical field. Stephanie's caring nature and commitment to excellence inspire her to be her best every day. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors, connecting with nature, and engaging in activities that promote her physical and mental well-being. She is also a proud grandmother of three grandchildren, with whom she loves spending time. Stephanie's love for animals is evident in her hobby of tending to her 15 chickens.

Hannah Blankenship

Medical Assistant

Hannah is from Durham, North Carolina, and is currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University. Her passion for patient care and the opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life drew her to the field of podiatry. Hannah's compassionate nature and excellent communication skills make her a natural fit for interacting with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Hannah's goal is to become a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in the future. In her free time, Hannah enjoys a wide range of activities, including snowboarding, crocheting, gardening, gaming, weight lifting, and hiking.

Kathleen Burroughs

Medical Assistant

Kathleen is a highly motivated individual who recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Chemistry. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys a variety of activities that keep her active and engaged. She is an avid reader and enjoys watching soccer. In her free time, Kathleen can often be found exploring the great outdoors, either running or hiking on local trails.

Medical Receptionist

Sawyer is from Mebane, North Carolina. She is a senior at Appalachian State University where she majors in Health Care management. When not immersed in her studies, she enjoys socializing with friends, reading, cooking, and watching movies.

sawNoah Parker-Root

Practice Analytics Associate

Noah is a Boone native and is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics in 2021. He possesses a deep enthusiasm for Planetary Astronomy, and during his free time, he dedicates himself to writing, delving into a wide range of subjects through reading, and engaging in tabletop games.

Tomas Lozano

tomDirector of Human Resources

Tomas has over 25 years of experience in managing and leading a full spectrum of strategic business services and functions. He possesses a profound understanding of employment laws, compliance and benefit issues, and industrial relations. He has successfully led and executed organizational changes in dynamic business environments, developed teambuilding programs, and demonstrated exceptional communication abilities. Throughout his career, he has shown versatile leadership in various industries including oil and fuels at Shell Oil, consumer goods at Nature’s Bounty, logistics and transportation at CRST, and metals processing with Ecobat and Heico. Tomas has a Master of Business Administration in Leadership & Management from University of La Verne, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Phoenix. He holds a Senor Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society for Human Resources Management.

On a personal note, Tomas has been happily married to his wife, Veronica, for 39 years. They have a son, a daughter, and four grandchildren. He enjoys carpentry, reading books on management and leadership, thrillers, and engaging in DIY projects. Tomas is passionate about barbecuing and driving muscle cars.

Logan Penland

LogDirector of Information Technology

Logan has 15 years of experience in the information technology industry. His extensive background encompasses project management within diverse IT systems, IT field service and installations, along with leadership development. Logan cultivates an open environment where he encourages suggestions, offers strategic guidance, and continuously seeks new knowledge to stimulate both personal and organizational growth. His long-term objective is to seamlessly integrate IT solutions and leverage cutting-edge technologies to maximize efficiency and deliver an unparalleled patient experience in our clinic. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, undertaking various household projects and play games.
